PROGRESS & A second channel ?

As 2016 comes to an end. I look back on everything I've done, everything that's happened and all the things that, for whatever reason, didn't happen.

I suspect most of us do this in some way, shape or form even if not in such a conscious manner.

However In 2017 I really want to take more time to reflect, just to sit down and tell myself that actually I am doing ok. I'm not a screw up. Things aren't amazing or awful just ok and that's ok."

We put so much pressure on January, the month as a whole, along with the new year, new me, you, whoever do gooders. That it's so easy to immediately shout "FAIL" or "I QUIT" at the first fall.

If I want to better myself I want to have realistic and long term results with longevity.

Forget the resolutions, and end goals.
I want to focus on happiness and PROGRESS!!

I'll be using an adult colouring diary and The happiness planner to help document my journey.

Want to see more stuff like this? I'm thinking of starting a second channel where I share a thought of the day... whether it be funny or serious, YouTube related or anything at all.

Struggles of the festive season

Who's excited for Christmas ??

If I'm honest, I don't think I could care less.
I've been going through a rough time lately, trying to blog, vlog and cope with my health and own personal issues has really gotten on top of me.

Blogging is my ultimate passion, well writing in general and I'm so glad I've got into the habit of posting more often.
I feel a lot like my brain and thought processes, are almost in constant over drive compared to my body. So I find writing like a therapy and release from the constant hyperactivity that seems to only exist in my mind.

It's such an odd feeling, when your body is the ultimate fail and yet your mind seemed to get the memo.

I often experience major ups and downs with my health and it can be easy to fall into a bad place mentally. Sometimes even when I feel awful I just have to get up, force a smile and drag myself out of the house. It's mainly for my own sanity, but today it was for the sake of Christmas tree shopping with my nephews.

I really tried to make an effort today.

I'm absolutely exhausted now, but so proud of myself for making the effort. I often feel like I'm completely alone and facing an uphill battle, but today I didn't, infact for a few hours I felt normal. Whatever normal is.

I guess I just want you to know that if you're struggling this festive season, you aren't alone, even when it may feel like it.

So many people find this time of year hard for many different reasons. Please reach out to friends and family if you're able to, other wise you can find out how to get in touch with the samaritans below

Numbers

Followers, subscribers, likes, shares...NUMBERS !! We're obsessed with them. Don't worry I'm including myself in this.

I started my blog in 2014, Originally called 'Charlotte says what?' It was a place where I could share my late night morphine induced ramblings.
In 2015 I started making YouTube videos because I felt like I didn't always know how to put into words what I was trying to say. Actions speak louder than words etc.

Fast forward to now and whilst I still love creating content for the very same reasons, (This is a 5am morphine ramble) I find it hard to write a post or create a video without wondering
'Will people hate it?'
'Will they unfollow?'

Yes hands up !! I've even been guilty of deleting a Facebook post or Instagram pic if it didn't get enough likes.

http://www.instagram.com/missclx

When did we all get like this?
Even as I type this I'm worried about the reaction.

Blogging / Vlogging becomes more and more competitive everyday, whilst it's great people can now effectively make a living from being themselves. Sometimes I wish we could all go back to the beginning and remember exactly why we started this.

I bet for the majority it had nothing to do with numbers.

Why did you start blogging / vlogging?

Top Tips to get your blogging mojo back

In the competitive world of blogging, it's easy to feel inadequate, 95% of the community are friendly and supportive yet 5% would happily throw all morals and friends out the window for a freebie and some views.

(Not exact figures)

However from time to time it can become all to easy to feel like an outsider, uninspired and unmotivated. Infact are you even a 'real blogger' if you haven't felt that way ?

(I hate the term real blogger but that's a different post)

So from my own experience I thought I'd create a little top tips piece full of ideas to get yourself back to blogging your heart out.

  • Read. Wether it's old blog posts, posts from blogger friends, or some books by a total boss babe just read !! I'm currently reading #Girlboss and Girlcode. Both are books that remind me anything can be achieved with hard work. Success is possible.

Instagram: @missclx

  • Don't force yourself. I think sometimes it can be obvious there's no real passion or desire in a post. Or that your writing about something just because you feel you should...

  • Be honest. Like I said above, don't force a post, but how about writing one explaining what's going on? A post explaining why you don't feel like posting, what's been going on in life? I'm sure so many people will relate. Your brave post may inspire others to be rave and speak there mind too.

  • On the other side to the above tips. If you have a post idea. Write it down and type it up asap. If there's ever a time you lose motivation or life gets in the way, you've got a few draft posts tucked away. Just hit publish.

  • If all else fails, just remember blogging isn't the be all and end all. Your health and happiness is what's most important. If you need a break you need a break and that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Hope this has helped someone.

Any tips you wish to share?

Lots of love

Soft Fluttery Lashes

I'm hoping by now, you know me well enough to know I'm honest, sometimes a little too honest.
I just want you to bare that in mind as we get into this post.

So recently I started working for Maëlle. What's Maëlle you ask? Well it's a brand new beauty company to the UK and USA. It works in the same way as Younique, Avon, Actilabs, using reps to sell products.

Now I have never been a fan of the way some people who work for these companies go about things. Some of them blow up your inbox like a backyard firework display. Pushy is NOT the word !! Reps like that end up blocked quicker than Mo Farah can sprint.

So I want to do it right. I want to build a team that does it right. No more spammy bullshit.

What are the products like?
Well lovelies, this is where that honesty I promised really shows. I'm also an actilabs mentor and while some of their products are amazing.. I've definitely done my fair share of ranting on the ones I hate.

Maëlle - I have fallen head over heels for the above and beyond mascara. It gives dramatic length and volume, yet still leaves lashes appearing soft and fluttery.. No spider clumps here.
Is it more expensive than the acti labs? Yes, but it's also a hell of a lot better.. (I wanted to like the actilabs mascara but I couldn't ... I just hated it)
At £18 I'd say it's a good mid range mascara and certainly worth trying even if you don't try anything else. It gives me benefit roller lash vibes and has for me at least become part of my everyday makeup.

There's only a few products out right now but from January 2017 a new products will launch each month.

Dont expect glowing reviews of every product though. That's not how this works

Get in touch to order, or if you require shipping outside the U.K. Or USA.

Dealing with grief - My story

Bare with me, this post may seem a little all over the place but I promise it has a point.

As some of you may know, my mum died when I was younger, nine to be precise. I often get asked questions about dealing with grief, what it's been like growing up without her etc. As so many of you wanted more personal blog posts, boom here we go.

First things first, it's not important how my mum passed away, she was ill. I'm also not going to mention any details about my family, location etc for privacy reasons.

With my health, doctors of many different types have asked about my mum. Psychiatrists especially, love to blame everything on the fact I was young when she died. The truth is however is none of my problems have ever had anything to do with that.

90% of my memories with her are happy and positive, I knew she was ill and despite being so young I remember always thinking that finally she was pain free. As an adult who suffers with my own pain. I certainly still get great comfort from that thought.

My dad is and always has been amazing. I've already said that plenty of times. Growing up as a teen I never felt like I missed out on anything. I've always had female influences around that I could turn too. Our whole family is pretty open and honest but sometimes it's nice to have girl chat.

What I did always find hard was other kids and their parents. Luckily attitudes have come a long way since, but single dads were always seen as...kinda odd??

Sleepovers were a thing none of my friends parents were happy with because there wasn't always a female around. (Please don't take that as I've never had sleepovers, like I said attitudes change)
Kids would think I was lying about my mum for attention, In one R.E class at school I was made to leave the room because when talking about death people mentioned their grandparents, as soon as i mentioned my mum that was it I wasn't to upset the other kids.

People ask advice on how to grieve a loved one and honestly I have no idea. The things and feelings I went through as a nine year old and a teen are totally different to how somebody as an adult would go through.

Grief is continuous and my advice would be to always keep talking, remember good times, etc. It's ok to not be ok, and it's also ok to not be upset depending on your circumstances.

In the future I'm sure there'll be times I struggle again with her not being here for instance if I marry or have children. For now though, I'm 100% OK, dads and grandparents are pretty awesome people.

A Chanel Dupe ? and discount code

Bags. Bags and shoes are two items that I like to think of as investment pieces. I very much think they're both worth spending that little extra on just to assure you're getting that high quality you need, in order for them to survive a busy lifestyle.

Designer bags are becoming a little more accessible / affordable to the masses. I swear everybody in my town has a Micheal Kors bag but me. Of course it could be maybe people are just willing to pay more these days, in order to flash a name.

Don't get me wrong I love my brands. Real talk would I buy a pair of five pound trainers rather than a fresh pair of Nikes? Probably not.

Would I spend two thousand plus pounds on a Chanel bag? Haha like I have that sort of money..
Thankfully though I do have www.boutiqueofmolly.com and a discount code.
Well it's kinda close.. Take a look for yourself.

This is the "Budapest' bag and I'm sure all you avid fashionistas can spot the similarities between this and the classic Chanel Quilted Flap.
I showed it briefly in a YouTube video. The quality is so much better than I would of ever imagined. The colour is just beautiful, especially for this time of year and the best part? It's only £25 !! So no need to feel guilty or like the worlds ending for getting the smallest scratch on it.

It's practically a dupe and lets be honest who doesn't love a good dupe? Designer style on a high street budget, Yes please.
It just has that luxorious look and feel.

I strongly suggest going and checking out the bags on their website. I'm sure you'll spot a few iconic designer inspired beauties along with their matching purses. Not only are the actual products impressive, shipping and customer service are top knotch.

Why not check it out?? You can get anything site wide for 20% off using my code CLX20

Let me know what you think.

Anatomicals Sleep Balm Review

I'm going to just come out and say it. My sleep pattern is f**ked up.
As most of you will know by now, I live with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I swear one of the biggest myths of the condition is that we sleep all the time.
The truth is we're actually all just overly exhausted insomniacs.

So when Anatomicals reached out and offered me a chance to review one of their products, I knew exactly which one I wanted to try. The sleep balm.

Now I've never really tried any sort of balm other than ones designed for the lips. So when I first opened the container , after the packaging and smell (I'll get to that) My first thought was how on earth do I use it?

Luckily the box helped me out a little here, suggesting I apply it to pulse points just before bed. Honestly the first couple of times I tried applying it, it was kinda difficult to actually get any product out but the more I used it the softer the balm became and easier it was to use.
Almost like a slightly firmer Vaseline.

If you don't like lavender, you won't like this at all, the smell is lovely and strong. Potent and long lasting is exactly what I LOVE about the scent of this product.
For me personally I do find it helps soothe and relax me. Infact it had a very similar effect to the Fay Farms Serinity lotion I recently blogged about.

Anatomicals do packaging extremely well with all of their products / sets and this is no exception. "Cruisin for a Snoozing" comes in a blue pocket sized tin. Perfect for just chucking in a handbag for those cheeky overnight stays, or in my case those random nights I've had to stay in hospital.
Every single person I've showed the tin too has loved the name and wording on the front. Certainly makes them stand out from every other toiletry company.

I'd recommend having a look at their other products and having a quick giggle to yourself.

Available at Superdrug, Anatomicals.com and Asks

What will I be trying next?
The headache soothing balm for sure.

Pacing pacing..
Don't do too much...
Don't crash and burn.
I'm sooooo tired
I can't wait to go to bed.

An Autumn Poem

As leaves cover up the path on the ground
The cool air blows a howling sound,
Scarves and boots with hats and gloves
Autumn fashion brings trends i love
Turkey day
Big parades
Hot apple cider
Give thanks, act kinder
It's fall
What a wonderful time of year

Tired Of Being Tired - Guest Post ft New Life Outlook

First of all I'd like to thank New Life Outlook for not only writing this guest post but also being so patient in waiting for it to go live. My blogging schedule has been a bit all over the place lately due to my own illness. I've lots of exciting bits coming up so as usual. do stay tuned.

Tired Of Being Tired??

Strategies for When You’re Tired of Being Tired
One of the most misunderstood parts of having a chronic illness, like lupus or fibromyalgia, is the actual level of fatigue we experience and exactly what we mean when we say we are exhausted.
There are different levels of fatigue that chronic illness survivors must push through from day to day. On a scale of one to 10, thankfully not every day feels like a 10.
At its worst, it could be described as an overwhelming sense of exhaustion and lack of energy that is completely out of proportion to our activity. Taking a shower can cause a need to lie down, for example.
The struggle is real and debilitating. Fatigue has a major impact on quality of life, interfering with activities of daily living, exercise, and the ability to cope with other symptoms of my chronic illness.
As someone with both lupus and fibromyalgia, I have devised strategies for each level of fatigue I experience:
Everyday Low-Level Fatigue
There is a nagging level of fatigue that seems to be present just about every day. I equate it to that mid-afternoon energy slump that healthy people often experience — only it is all day for those with a chronic illness.
  • Eat energy foods. Eat something that will give energy, but not a sugar rush, like a few cashews or sweet potato chips. I drink extra water, and if I am still struggling a small iced coffee adds a little caffeine boost.
  • Take a mid-day rest for 20 minutes. Whether it is your lunch break or some down time after you have completed an activity, respond to your needs and let your body have a rest period. Don’t keep pushing through without allowing this catch-up period.
Sudden, Mid-Level Fatigue
There are days I seem to be only mildly fatigued in the morning, and suddenly it’s like I hit a wall. I’ll be cruising through my work and running to do errands and suddenly I feel it coming on — it’s so intense I I have to lay down as soon as possible.
  • Avoid refined sugars and other sweets. Excess sugar can dramatically change blood glucose levels, causing them to rise quickly and then crash, making you more tired than before.
  • Eat foods high in vitamins, minerals, protein, and complex carbohydrates. High-quality protein (fish, poultry, and lean meat) can help your muscles stay strong, while complex carbohydrates (potatoes, whole-grain foods, and legumes) can help stabilize blood sugar levels, giving you energy throughout the day.
  • Take a nap. Yes, you need sleep! Keep it short so you don’t impact your normal night’s rest. Even a short sleep can provide a reboot of your body functions.
  • Try taking vitamin D and B-12. Speak to your doctor and see if supplements are OK for you to take. These two in particular provide me energy if taken regularly.

Full, Debilitating Fatigue
Fatigue and exhaustion while in a full-blown flare is a whole different beast. It is facing each day and night so tired that body seems so drained it longs for the peace of sleep.
Often it is impossible to think clearly or even have the energy to make a meal. I describe this to others as the kind of fatigue you experience with the worst possible flu you’ve ever had, so tired you cannot bear it.
  • Take 15-minute rests throughout the day. Pace yourself and rest in brief periods to conserve your energy. If you simply can’t get moving, don’t.
  • Postpone activities. Sometimes we simply must cancel or postpone nonessential activities when this debilitating fatigue strikes. Always keep in mind you are battling a very real and disabling symptom of your chronic illness. Let go of any guilt that creeps in for not accomplishing everything on your to-do list.
  • Do things that help you rest and recharge. If spending a day in bed reading helps with you regain some energy, then do it. If meditation or yoga help you recharge, than don’t skip your routine unless you must. Know your body and respond to its needs in order to rebound from this full-level fatigue.
  • Once again, eat well-balanced foods and stay hydrated. This is important no matter what level of fatigue you are battling.
There are so many aspects of lupus and fibromyalgia that are difficult to endure, and fatigue is by far one the most impactful. Your strategy must include taking care of yourself, resting, watching what you put into your body, and allowing yourself time to recharge.

The Fay Farms Serenity Review

"I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. "

Lotions and potions, as someone living with a chronic illness you think you've tried all of them that could possibly help you. Well at least that's how I tend to think.

So when I got an email asking if I wanted to try the serenity lotion from The Fay Farms, I admit I was skeptical. Could it really be any different from anything else I've tried? Would it live up to the hype? would I hate it? and most importantly will it actually do anything? I just wasn't sure if this was the right product for me to be reviewing...However that all changed when I realised, they offer a version infused with CBD.

I don't want to turn this post in to a science lesson but simply put CBD is the name given to one of the cannaboids present in medical marijuana. One that provides many medical benefits, including pain relief but contains none of the psycho active properties that give you a high. (That's THC)

So first impressions, you get a decent amount for the price (2oz for $20) and I love that it comes with a pump top, it just makes life a little cleaner and easier.

I noticed fairly quickly the heavy lavender scent. If you're not a lavender fan then this may not be right for you. On that basis and because lavender tends to help me with sleep. I decided that at least for me personally it would be better suited for evening use. On the bottle it says it includes CBD 200mg so as to help soothe anxiety and nerve pain. I definitely felt a sense of calm upon application and after three to four nights use I realised I was a lot less restless at night.

I've now got into the habit of running the lotion into pulse points and achey muscles before bed. I've found best results tend to occur if I use the lotion after a bath. It feels like a luxurious extra step in my night time routine and let's be honest, most of us love a little luxury in life.

I don't know wether the lotion itself has had a direct affect on pain or wether my pain feels improved due to better sleep and feeling more relaxed.

Either way I'd certainly use other products from the range. Most products can be bought with or without containing CBD. I know not everyone feels comfortable around the subject of cannaboids and medical marijuana. All products from The Fay Farms are also organic.

Go have a look at http://thefayfarm.com/p/cbd
And receive 10% off and free US shipping using the code 'CLX'
U.K. Shipping comes to the equivalent of about £7

3 things bloggers want you to know

Blogging as a hobby and even a career seems to be a bigger thing each and every day.

99% of the time the blogger community is supportive and friendly. However sometimes people come along that tend to rub everyone up the wrong way..

So wether you're looking to get your foot through the door of the blogging world or you're just an avid blog follower.

Here's three things myself (and probably some others) want you to know.

1) If you want to take up blogging or are already doing so, just for freebies and/ or money. You make everyone look bad. Sending emails to brands practically DEMANDING freebies is not only extremely rude, it puts them off working with other bloggers.

2) On the subject of money, don't message asking how I make money of my blog and how you want to do the same. My situation is mainly a lot of hard work and a bit of luck. Lately I've had a lot of these, weirdly by people who haven't even written a single blog post and expect a pay check from typing the first word.

3)Actually Blogging is a "proper job" it's so insulting when you imply I don't actually do any work. I'm sure many others will agree with me. Imagine if I
turned up at your job and did the same.

This was just a quick post but I hope you enjoyed it. I didn't wanna fall down a deep hole on this subject. I could probably go on.

Anything you wanna add ?

Blogversary, A fresh look

You may or may not have noticed that my blog looks a little different. It's been a long time coming and I'm so happy it's all finally finished. You may or may not have come here by a different web address too. (I used to be called "charlotte says what?' )

I've been blogging just over 2 years at this point and as I always say, it's turned into something much bigger than I ever thought it would. I've effectively managed to carve a career from what was originally a bunch of midnight ramblings. My own therapy to help cope with all that was happening.

To be fair it's still a lot of midnight ramblings, but it's also a community.

There was a point where I had no idea what I was going to do with my life, I felt like my illness had stolen everything a way. I was stuck, lonely and quite honestly scared of what the future would hold.

This blog, this community that's come with it, has given me a purpose again. It's allowed me opportunities I'd never have otherwise had, increased my confidence and helped me to help others.

So thank-you, without readers none of it would be possible

Enjoy the new website :) I'm certainly going to be posting more regularly

you can follow along on bloglovin, google+ and by email plus all my social media links , including my youtube, are in the side bar.

N:rem Sleep System Review

"I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. "

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people value a good nights sleep. Ultimately, when you clock up the amount of time we spend attached to our beds in a lifetime. It's a fair chuck of time. Thanks to suffering from multiple chronic illnesses, including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, my chunk is quite a bit bigger than most peoples.

Unfortunately often our beds, well mattresses aren't designed to be used quite as much as myself or another person living with health issues use them.

I'm sure everybody has had one of those nights where you 'slept funny', waking up in pain. Now Imagine doing that everyday, only with pain before you fell asleep too, sounds like hell right? Well yeah it is, but thankfully N:rem have created a mattress to try and help with that.

Made up of five foam pieces ranging from firm to very soft. N:rem allows you to personalise your mattress to suit you. Allowing you to get a better night sleep and therefore help reduce those morning aches and pains.
BOOM Magic !!

Set up was simple enough, just open the box and go. For me the very first thing I noticed was the strong foam smell so I left the box open 24hours before removing the foam pieces and placing them on the bed.

A leaflet clearly explained everything so it was hard to go wrong (they have a handy helpline if you need help).
Luckily or unluckily depending on how you look at it,for me one of my main problems is back pain, which just happened to be one of the main issues they'd had in mind when making this so I just followed the example layout as shown below.

I admit after trying the example it was trial and error to find the exact format for me personally. Once done though I could instantly tell the difference.

Now because of how much I love this mattress it won't be coming off. Better nights sleep certainly make me a happy bunny.

However I admit there are two down sides, both lucking are easily sorted.
One is the price. With prices ranging from £395 for enough to cover a single (above) to £895 for Super King size its not exactly cheap. Luckily payments plans are available from only £1 a night INCLUDING a 30 day trial.

Another was that my foam pieces tended to move a little in the night. They grip well to the mattress, just I wake up to find they've moved 3 or 4 inches overnight.
How to fix it?? Try using a fitted sheet.

Remember that the foam pieces do add approx 12cm to the bed height. Which may be something you want to keep in mind depending on your personal situation and when buying bedding.

Like I already said, mine won't be coming off, any tiny negatives were outweighed by a reduction in pain levels
Look how happy I am

That's Priceless.

What do you think?

Who fancies cake?

A couple of years ago I accidentally fell in to blogging. I had no idea what I'd really got myself into, I just knew I loved to write.
Now a days blogging is my full time job and I've been a very lucky girl to be sent some amazing products for review purposes. The latest of which to pop through the letter box was a cake. Yes you heard me a cake delivered right through my door, right next to my credit card bill.

Ok so I better explain the meaning behind this super cute cake. Long story short, some of you may know I moved in with my grandparents last year because of health issues and one of the biggest bug bares is that due to my epilepsy I can't really cook for myself or make a cup of tea.
Everytime I want one someone else has to make it. My Nan bless her must get sick of it 10 times a day. Anyway this cake was just a cute way of asking as well as a thankyou.

BakerDays had an amazing choice of pre designed cakes alongside options to create your own (which is what I did).
Not forgetting a great selection of flavours, including gluten and dairy free all available in various sizes including cupcakes. I went with a vanilla sponge and it was super yummy. We managed to make it last two weeks (mainly because we had other stuff on the go nearer the use by date). Baker days claim their products stay fresh for up to fourteen days, and they weren't lying, this was just as delicious on the last bite as the first.

However gets be honest it's cake why would you leave it two weeks? Who are you and why are you reading this if you don't like cake?

Go check out Bakerdays website and follow them on social media for more info and super awesome foodie pics

This morning I spoke to a friend I hadn't spoke to in years. Ok we didn't speak we messaged but whatever the technicalities on how the conversation happened. A conversation happened.

I've mentioned my friendship group before. My 'star friends'. The four of us have been besties since school although originally there were five.

Anyway I had to get in touch with the 5th friend about something I'd been putting off for a while really, and the whole situation got me thinking.

There were no hard feelings or anything, we'd just drifted apart. That's totally ok and normal especially while growing up, things change. However the longer we'd left not getting in touch with each other the harder it seemed to get.

Now I'm not trying to say everyone should get in touch with old friends. Sometimes there's a reason people aren't in your life anymore. I was super nervous about taking that first step and saying hi but I actually feel pretty good about it.

Things most likely won't go back to how they were and I'll always treasure the friendship we had way back when. At least the doors now open though. I guess we'll see what happens.

So if you've been thinking about getting in touch with an old friend, I'd certainly give it a go. It may go great. It may not. At least it'll get rid of any 'what ifs'.

Drifted apart from friends?
Would you consider getting in touch again?

What happened?

So as you can tell, my last blog post was almost 2 months ago. This is because I was getting a blog makeover, switching to a custom domain and looking forward to my next post being on this totally new named and decorated piece of the Internet.

Yeah this hasn't happened. It will do, it's just taken an awful lot longer than I planned. Mainly my fault. Illness, a blogging rut etc.

So here I am. I hate not blogging and whilst I can't wait for the new look and everything. I'm going to continue on here for the moment. I know some of you will be disappointed and I'm sorry but it's all been a little out of my control. I hope you can understand and if you want to know more about what's been happening, check out the video below and maybe take a look at my YouTube Channel.

All my love

My Illness, My Style, Don't Judge

Ooo your hairs grown long, but it looks kinda fake
It is fake, medication meant I lost it in patches, extensions make me feel ‘normal’ and 'pretty’ again.

You wear a lot of makeup
There’s pale and interesting then there’s Casper the friendly ghost. What I can’t enjoy makeup like every other girl in there 20s?

Don’t start messing around with plastic surgery
My body NOT yours !! I only wanna have some of the damage fixed by treatments and medications over the years fixed. In a sense I wanna be 'normal’ and not face painful reminders when I look in the mirror

Why don’t you try getting dressed instead of wearing PJs or gym wear all the time, it may make you feel better.
I want and need to be comfortable and dressing this way helps… I look hella good rocking Nike leggings actually and I feel good. This is me and MY style. Why should I put on a pair of jeans? To please you? Jog on love …

Sickly and Fabulous - Fashion Post

But you don't look sick ...No I don't, well not all the time. That's because I love makeup, hair and generally dressing up, it makes me feel a little bit more normal (whatever that is) when I can be bothered.

So included throughout this post are some outfit of the day pics from the last week.
Just because I feel like shit doesn't mean I have to look it too.

Saying that though dressing or choosing an outfit can be a little harder than it seems when you have an illness or condition.
Scarves are a winter staple for a normal fashionistas wardrobe, but they're not so great when you have a seizure, drop to the floor and accidentally strangle yourself.

Leggings are my fashion love and I don't care what anyone says. I'm a little obsessed with compression leggings PROS: They help with blood volume, are less painful to wear, are hella cute and STUPIDLY comfortable.
CONS: They aren't cheap and people automatically assume I go to the gym.

Bitch my whole life is a workout !!

I think people assume that if you're chronically ill and decide to get dressed up or leave the house, then you can't really be that ill after all.

And those people can kindly fuck off because I'm chronically fabulous !!

Simplicity & Self Improvement

January. Everything's about goals, getting organised, making plans and changing your life for the better.

I'm all about self improvement. However, you know, being realistic. I probably won't drop 20kilos, win the lottery, give up smoking or volunteer in a soup kitchen. Sorry babes / Sorry Not Sorry.

What will I do?

Aim to be as happy as I can be, as healthy as I can be, learn to love myself a bit more and become a little less scared of my bank account.

So I guess I should probably shop less and save more huh?

No, but seriously I have fallen in love with my nutribullet and the amount of seizures I was having has greatly improved..It may not sound much to some but believe me, something as simple as taking the RIGHT medication can be, with no exaggeration, life changing !! If you watched the last week of vlogmas On my Youtube , so much changed in the space of a week, it was just crazy.

I honestly feel like me again, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have some amazing things in store for this year that hopefully you'll all stick around to see. I upload daily on youtube, and across all my social medias, so I'm pretty easy to keep up with (or stalk).

Why don't we all make this a year to be proud of?? Set simple, achievable, goals that'll help you to be the best version of yourself.
Wether its remembering to say 'I love you' everyday to someone, keeping quiet when you have nothing nice to say, smiling more or simply being kind to people.

Sometimes simplicity is the best way forward

New Year ...2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR BABES !! only a quick post, to get back in the swing of things.

Yay A new year !! I'm stupidly happy and excited about 2016. If you followed vlogmas (either on youtube here or on Facebook here) you'll know I finally got the medication I waited the majority of 2015 for.

In fact I started taking the tablets a few days before christmas, and yeah, lets just say it was like my life changed in the space of a week. It was the best present I could ever have asked for...Like seriously. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my nutribullet and all the cute gifts i got but, well, you know...

nutribullet

So what does 2016 have in store?? Honestly I've no idea...I guess we'll be finding out together...Especially as I'm now vlogging daily at www.youtube.com/missclx
